New Client "Cintas" one of the world's Largest Work wear providers are about to undertake 11 major UK racking and storage refurbishment projects. The 1st at Ashdon Down near Sudbury in Wiltshire.
Partnering with "Tom D Consulting Engineers" has worked very much in our favour.
CDM Services are able to now assist with M&E Design and Installation.

CDM Services are pleased to advise that the "New Racking Install Project" has the go ahead for New Client "Wincanton Distribution Ltd".
We are now part of the Construction team for a number of "Wincanton Distribution Projects", this being the first of six projects to be completed before the end of the year.

First phase of "Hanger 61" Luton Airport refurbishment is well on the way to completion followed by the internal installation of towered storage facility.
A very complex interesting project as all construction and installation works have had to be undertaken whilst the facility remains operational.

CDM Services are pleased to advise that following successful meetings and tough bidding processes we have been appointed to provide CDM Coordinator and Construction Health & Safety Advisor services for a new build 107 Bedroom 'Premier Inn Hotel' in the Centre of Bath.

CDM Services are pleased to advise that they have been appointed to provide CDM Coordinator services to 'Jones Bootmaker'. We are currently appointed to provide services on seven live projects which entail major refurbishments and new builds in some of the UK’S Major retail shopping centres.

All systems go on the new Hydrogen Fueling Station. This is without a doubt one of the more exciting projects that 'CDM Services' are currently involved with.
With Plans for field trials on Hydrogen powered cars in the pipeline 'Honda' yet again are demonstrating their ability to lead the field in research and development.

New internal Conveyor expansion and Upgrade for 'George at ASDA Lymdale Depot' 2nd stage of Enhancement to the Lymedale Garments on Hanging (GOH) Phase 1 of 3 phase’s is well underway, completion early October with further works starting in January 2012.

Asda Lutterworth LDC – HCM completes the Recovery of racking systems and stock together with the provision of new racking and associated services February 2011
The project was completed within program (25weeks) and budget of £2.5m.
The works involved the specialist removal of the collapsed existing high bay racking system along with stored stock, sprinkler, aspiration system (fire detection) and lighting installation.
This was achieved by the innovative use of a specialist team ' abseiling' from the internal building structures to recover the racking and associated services along with removal of damaged stock.

Hotel Refurbishment Double for CDM Services Ltd
Starting early this year we have had some success in this largely untapped sector over the last 3 months landing 2 major Hotel refurbishment projects.
The Buckatree Hall Hotel -Telford
Phase 1, 62 bedrooms over 3 floors refurbished to a very high standard, new Dining room, Function room and large seated main bar area.
Phase 2 “New Leisure Facility” to include Swimming Pool and Gymnasium to follow in the summer.
Castle Bromwich Hall – Solihull
Phase 1, of 3 Phases of refurbishment over a two year program.
A grade 1 listed Building being restored to its former glory creating a 'High End Market' 17 bedroom Hotel.

CDM Services are pleased to advise that following successful completion of the Phase 2 development of 'Mannington Retail Park Swindon' which following the demolition Phase resulted in a state of the art John Lewis store being built, they have been appointed to act as CDM Coordinator for the Phase 3 works, the refurbishment of the remaining 4 units.

ASDA " ASC Lutterworth Returns" Project

When setting out the aims & goals for CDM Services for 2010, the desire to provide Consultancy services within the major retailer sector was nothing more than a side note to January’s monthly meeting minutes.

As Honda of the UK Manufacturing continue to enhance their facility at Swindon we are pleased to advise that CDM Services have been appointed to the largest Plant & Process strip out that Honda have ever undertaken.

Building a Roman Villa
Darlow Smithson Productions a british independant Film producer has appointed CDM Services as their CDM Coordinator and Construction Health and Safety Advisers to build an authentic Roman villa urbana – a high status Roman town house - on the site of the fourth largest Roman city in Britain, at Wroxeter in Shropshire.
The site at Wroxeter was chosen after consent from English heritage - filming has began and How to Build a Roman Villa (w/t), a 6x60 minute documentary series for Channel 4 will be shown on Channel 4 late 2011.
The design for ‘Villa Urbana’ was inspired by an actual building excavated at this important Roman site and was created by Professor Dai Morgan Evans, visiting professor in archaeology at the University of Chester.
Detailed design work was carried out renowned classical architects, Robert Adam Ltd. Only tools and building methods available to the Romans will be used during construction and it will shed new light on how these incredible feats of ancient engineering were achieved. The villa will be built using local materials and suppliers and the intention is to involve the local community and schools during the building process.
Once complete, ‘Villa Urbana’ will mark the 1600th anniversary of the Romans leaving Britain in 410AD and it will greatly enhance the tourist experience at the English Heritage site of Wroxeter. In particular, it will help bring history alive for the many school parties that visit the site each year.
